There is nothing new about this. They have allowed multiple orgs in the USA for years.

Sorry for not putting my name on the last post, it was there on the first, its Shyam Raithatha. I have no problem with putting my name to my opinions as they are only that...opinions...some may agree with them, some may not but thats what discussion forums are for, discussing views and opionions.

I see your point though, very convenient that people seemed to have joined very recently seemingly purely to discuss this topic.

Wasn't you in particular - but you still need to put your full name in your sig for all posts...

FWIW - your "joke" falls flat as Sensei Kawasoe never left the JKA - irrespective of whether his current Dan Rank was JKA certified - and I'm sure that "if" he becomes again a JKA certified Instructor he will be more than happy to regrade under JKA Curricullum for his current grade - love to see that grading - especially the kumite on youtube.....

According to http://www.jka.or.jp/english/about/chart.html he did leave the JKA.
The chart highlights those who were graduates and who has died, left, expelled etc.

ohta may feel slightly uneased that one of his most senior sempai and an actual
graduate of the jka instructors class has been brought back into the fold in 'his'
own country no? i think when this is combined with the fact that he (ohta) has
failed to hold onto the vast majority of his own senior students/instructors since
2004 you have to look at a bigger picture unfolding

a perfect example of why Seniors in karate should be working together and not for themselves to create a better organization for sharring Karate...and not a personal dynasty!

You need to folllow the forum rules and post your real name in your sig :)

Regarding your question - I'd doubt it as this sort of thing - if it happens - will have been under discussion for a very long time and the "split" your efer to is fairly recent - and in fact you would think that something that reduces the membership would make such a move less desireable.

Best quote so far from Neil Nathanson "they've allowed multiple orgs in the states for years"  . Must be alot of very happy female karateka over there! Didn't know they were restricted anywhere else.
