you did misunderstand me, or i was not clear enough, I was making the point that large public gyms or council run leisure centres will admit more than 1 karate school as an activity because it is purely a business decision. we dont have to worry about that because we have a good relationship with the school we use.To expect others, Karate insructors or not, to act according to some unwritten moral code is a little naive perhaps, even if desirable. I dont make my living from martial arts, although I wish I could, so personally if we make enough money to pay for hire of the hall and a little extra for club funds, I am a happy man. all we can really do is try to be better than the guy who opens up down the street.

James; I believe you are right on the large Gym/leisure center aspect of letting in more than one org due to business. Not necessarily realizing they are splitting the gene pool. It`s just that sometimes the way things are done is questionable! And yes some of us have been naive expecting morals!! :(

P.S. Jim: not raining or freezing, would be nice enough! Is there a typical time over there when it is so?

Paul, Jim can't comment on that, with him staying in the west coast of Scotland it always rains there

Well George, Jim most likely has a dark cloud following him around, just to keep him wet behind the ears!!
All kidding aside, the Mrs & I always take the last week of july-first week of august off, maybe this might be a good time to check out your neck of the woods! One year soon, I hope! But then again, maybe there will be someone at the airport, kicking my tail off your Island!!
