Received my copy of the book yesterday.

Not had chance to thoroughly read it just yet, but from my brief scanning of the book it looks awesome.

I shall review the book ASAP for you all :-)

Thanks Mike for sending on a copy, I look forward to giving it a thorough reading

Hi Mike

Just finished the book and all those memories of being a member of the UKTKF and training with John Errington in Ormskirk came back, in particular all the relevant detailed information (feet, knees, hips, hanmi, shomen etc) on Zenkutsu Dachi. The two other area's covered of Tate Shuto Uke and Gyaku Zuki also give full details that many karateka would not be privy to due to the depth of Sensei Kawasoe's written explanations. Rather than having a book full of photographs these are kept to a minimum which in my opinion makes the book more 'readable'. It really is a great read and one that will be revisited over and over again, this 'reading' of the techniques goes hand in hand with the 'doing' of the techniques in a training environment that will surely enhance a karateka's understanding of our Art. Congratulations to Dr Clive Layton on this written work and to you Mike on publishing yet another superb book under the 'Mona Books UK' banner which will join those others in my ever expanding library of Karate books.

Best Regards
Allan

I would love to see a review of The foundations of Shotokan Karate Technique. The description on the website makes it sound really intriguing.

I have sent a copy to SHAUN here on the Shotokan Way website for a reveiw.

Don't mind reviews from anyone else.
