I have just re-read this post.
Having just spent two days with Norio Kawasaki in the past two weeks, I can assure any and all that he is not in a wheel chair, still teaching karate, and is healthy. Whoever the 'informant' was in this case clearly has an axe to grind, or is making up stories.
I have known Kawasaki for many years, and have spent time with him, every year since his departure from his previous organisation. He was never in a wheel chair, was not attacked by his teacher, was not beaten and damaged by him as indicated in so many posts! Yes, he was hit in demonstrations, perhaps at times very hard (I have seen them live, have been in the room, and have witnessed the power of the strikes) but was never maliciously attacked etc.
Whoever Earl is, please amend your posts, edit or delete the malicious comments.

I'm not involved in Shotokan karate anymore, and there are far more important things, such as my country's safety and very survival, that I concern myself with. I wish Yahara and Kawasaki well, but I couldn't care less about either of them, or karate itself and it's silly BS for that matter.

Wait, what? So, you basically lie and slander....two years later someone brings up that the whole thing was BS and you react like "why bring it up"? Well, because you lied...or at the least put false statements out to the public and slandered a well known instructor. Thats why he brought it up.

Using the excuse that your country is in trouble to not defend yourself or at least appologize, well thats lame! Your country is always in some kind of trouble...all of ours are! Be a man and appologize for spreading unfounded lies and it all goes away. And no, probably nothing to hide, more like first time Rob had a chance to state something after training with the guy you said was in a wheel chair.
