Pivoting in Back Stance

Postby FJRGerry » Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:53 am

While working on bunkai techniques I've been experimenting with using the front foot as the pivot foot from (and into) the back stance so that the movement becomes more of a throw. Picture using the back stance to step into and block a round house punch, then grabbing the throwing arm and pulling back while pivoting off the front foot to the opponents outside in order to throw them.

Is this a technique you have used or practiced. If not are you willing to test it out and let me know if it seems plausible?
